About Oil Infusion
Welcome to HotBox Reviews! I’m your host, Lucia, today’s review is on Levo Oil!
The Levo Oil makes creating your own edibles a quick and painless process! Think of it as a one-stop shop for infusing not only cannabis but other items such as clove and essential oils!
The Levo Oil is a small and sleek machine that can fit any household. I like how the Levo Oil looks so modern so nobody would guess I make edibles from it.
What’s infusion? Infusion is exactly what it sounds like. To combine two things together.
In our case, we are infusing cannabis with both oil and butter through a process of controlled heat and timing. Which then transfers the flavor, scent, color, and nutrients from one source to another.
Another factor to keep in mind is the Levo Oil was created specifically to infuse oil and butter through it’s gentle infusion process, and it’s dishwasher safe!
Turning the Levo on is an easy swipe of the finger. Then proceed to remove the top, and take out the pod. The pod is where you’ll put your whole cannabis flower, I found out later you don’t need to grind any of it prior to heating.
Once you’ve added the pod back to the top, you’ll notice it’s magnetic so no need to worry about it falling. Add either the oil or butter you’re infusing to the top. Select the desired time and temperature, if you’re curious to know which specific products go with what times, check out their website for a breakdown.
For this Hotbox Review, I had my fellow DCN team join me in cooking up a meal which involved infusing both butter and olive oil recipes. A special shoutout to Southwest Patient Group in San Diego, California for providing the flower to infuse. We ended up making both a THC batch and CBD batch.
As for pros, prior to the Levo Oil, I’m used to creating edibles the old fashion way on a stovetop and in an oven.
For those who are familiar with the process, it can last up to 6 to 8 hours, and that covers both infusing and cooking the edibles.
It took me 2 ½ hours to infuse the butter, and then another hour to cook.
So all together I shaved off a good 3 to 4 hours from cooking it the old way.
Another pro is the Levo is super quiet, and gives off no cannabis smell while infusing, so that’s a bonus for those of us who don’t want our treats to be smelled by our neighbors.
As for cons, I didn’t find any huge issues. The draining is slow, but I hear the team behind the Levo is on it.
I feel the Levo oil is a good addition to ANY kitchen. Not only do you have control of what you can create but you also have control of how strong It comes out to be.

The Benefits of Oil Infusion
Some of the world’s earliest civilizations used infused oils for medical practice & food preparation. Today, it’s behind-the-scenes as the secret sauce of restaurant chefs! Because infused oils extract components of the whole plant, they provide superior nutritional, therapeutic and medicinal benefits. Check out our Time & Temperature Calculator for more information on the specific benefits of your ingredients.
LEVO is the first device created exclusively for infusing oil and butter. With dishwasher safe components, there’s no more messy straining or clean up. No more emulsifiers, solvents or additives required to infuse. No pre-set temperature and time settings, allowing you complete creative control over your recipe. To top it off, our gentle infusion method doesn’t aerate your ingredients, increasing their shelf life.
