Please share with our viewers, a little about Icarus RT.
Icarus RT is an engineering company that designs low-cost power boosting systems for solar panels. Current solar panels waste over 75% of all received energy. The Icarus snap-on system cools the solar panel down, increases its performance, absorbs the heat from the panel and converts it into additional power output making the solar panel technology powerful, affordable and competitive.
How do you stay balanced? Any hobbies outside your work?
As an entrepreneur you have to have fun with what you are doing – even if the times are very hard. Within your workload, there must be something that is your hobby – as for me, it is the engineering behind the Icarus system. The whole point of being an entrepreneur is doing what you like!
What is the best piece of advice you can give to others looking to launch a company in the cannabis industry?
The cannabis industry is not an unknown anymore – we know that it will take off big time. However, there are still some uncertainties and serious lack of data. And this is exactly what makes it so exciting! Take a hard look at the industry – chances are you’ll find a problem that needs a solution.
Is there anything that surprised you about being an entrepreneur in the cannabis industry?
It’s such a young new industry – there is just an enormous amount of space for entrepreneurship.
Being a founder, we are bound to make a mistake or two, what is one mistake you made that turned up being one of your biggest learning lessons?
The most important lesson that I have learned is that no matter how hard are the times – stay a strong individual and be your best self. Don’t do anything that will embarrass you later because with enough effort put into your business – it will work and hard times will pass.
How can we as an industry continue to make a positive difference in society?
Educating the customers about the industry through your solutions is the best way to make a positive difference.
